One of my favorite parts of Dunedin is our proximity to all types of beautiful places. Within ten minutes you can be hiking up a mountain, walking through sheep fields, strolling through botanic gardens, or walking along the beach. This was a Monday, once we had all finished classes for the day we decided we needed to get outside for a bit. Tunnel Beach is a mere fifteen minutes from Dunedin and once again we lucked out that the stormy weather was just passing as we arrived.
There was a small dark tunnel that sunk into the rocks. Down the long staircase we could reach the waves breaking on the beach.
Standing on the edge of the cliff was thrilling as the waves crashed far below. The sky continuously shifted colors as the storm clouds roll through.
