Fear the tree.

Ahh a weekend away from Orange. I appreciate my little Chapman University bubble, but my oh my it is good to escape from time to time.

I took a quick flight up to San Jose to spend the weekend at Stanford with my older sister.

From the artfully designed buildings, to the bare trees mixed with palm trees, and the dimly lit stretches of pillared hallways, Stanford University is one of the most beautiful campuses. There’s a feeling of pride and legacy that can’t be ignored on campus.

My family and I explored all of the arches, and the tree lined paths. We climbed up for a view from the main tower, and then found our way into an art exhibit.

I took the weekend as a chance to step outside of the Orange County bubble, and I always enjoy spending time meeting students at other schools. I got to have dinner with some of my sisters friends, all of whom are graduate students in the education program, and it was wonderful to hear all about the changes they want to make in teaching.

I’ll be back for more Palo Alto.
